Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 20, 2026
AtomicNote is built around a single principle: your notes belong to you. This policy describes what we collect, why we collect it, and what we never collect.
What we collect
- Email address. Used only to authenticate you and send transactional messages (welcome, sign-in codes, subscription receipts). We do not market to your inbox.
- Note content (Premium only). When you opt in to cloud backup or master-chain verification, your encrypted note content is stored on our servers so you can sync across devices and produce verification proofs. Free-tier notes never leave your device.
- Verification hashes. Premium accounts create hashes on our master blockchain. Hashes are one-way; they prove a note existed at a moment in time without revealing its contents.
- Anonymous page-view events. Our website records URL paths so we can see which pages get traffic. We do not set third-party cookies or load trackers.
What we do not collect
- We do not sell or rent your data to anyone, for any purpose.
- We do not use advertising identifiers or device fingerprinting.
- We do not access your note content for analytics or model training.
- We do not require an account to use the free tier.
Subprocessors
We rely on a small set of vendors to operate the service: our hosting provider, Stripe (web payments), Apple (iOS payments via StoreKit), and our transactional email provider. None of them receive your note content in plaintext.
Your rights
You can delete your account at any time from inside the iOS app (Settings → Delete Account) or by emailing privacy@atomicnote.app. Deletion is immediate and irreversible: it removes your account, any cloud-backed notes, sign-in codes, and subscription records. Master-chain hashes are not personally identifying and remain part of the chain.
